Setting Up MyHS Remote (HS3)Access
MyHS is a free cloud service that will allow you to access your HomeTroller or custom HS3 installation from anywhere using a browser-enabled device, HomeSeer Mobile, or our HS3Touch Designer app. The instructions below will walk you through the process of creating your MyHS account.
- Go to myhs.homeseer.com/Register.
- Enter your desired account credentials and your HS3 license information. This can be found on the bottom of your HomeTroller or here if you purchased a license on shop.homeseer.com.
- Once everything is entered, click Register.
- You will then receive a verification email. Check your email and click the verification link. If you do not receive the verification email, make sure to check your spam folder. If you still do not have it, contact us here.
Your MyHS account has now been created and your HomeSeer system can be accessed any time at myhs.homeseer.com! For information on setting up HomeSeer Mobile with your MyHS account, click here, for setting up HS Touch with your MyHS account, visit here.
Account setup in HS3 web interface
After creating your account on myhs.homeseer.com, you will want to connect to your HS3 system. After connecting, navigate to Tools > Setup, then click on the Network tab. There should already be an account here with the same credentials in the Web/HSTouch User Settings section. If this account has not been created, use the Add User button to add an account with the same credentials.
After confirming or creating this account, take a look at the User Rights and Change User sections. For the primary MyHS account, it is recommended that it have Admin + Local user rights. Doing so will grant that account access to everything in your system. If the account does not have Admin user rights, you will see check boxes on the right under Change User, if you uncheck Event, Counters & Timers, or Log access, that account will not be able to access those pages. These are important for services like Amazon Alexa, Google Home, IFTTT, or just seeing them when connecting via the mobile app, so make sure your account has permissions for the desired pages.
