Event Triggers: A Recurring Trigger Happens

Overview

Recurring triggers are used to execute events repetitively. These triggers are often combined with conditions to issue alerts. In this example, the system will issue a spoken alert every minute if the garage door has been open for at least an hour. The spoken alerts will cease as soon as the door is closed.

Recurring triggers may be accessed by selecting A Recurring Trigger Happens from the trigger group menu. Recurring triggers include the following:

The Event Will Automatically Trigger Every...

This trigger will execute an event at regular intervals. The time picker allows you to enter hours, minutes and seconds. If you wish to create daily, weekly or monthly intervals, simply enter the appropriate number of hours.

The Event Will Automatically Trigger from the Top of the Hour Every...

This trigger will execute an event at regular intervals at a specific time after the hour.

The Event Will Automatically Trigger Once per Hour from the Top of the Hour at...

This trigger will execute every hour at a specific time after the hour.
